Halloween - A monkey with a banana

We pretty much knew that Easton was going to be a monkey for his first Halloween. I always refer to him as 'monkey'. So, it was fitting. We even found a stuffed banana for him at Grandma's. So I think it was meant to be. We dressed him up at Grandma's and took some pics - then took him around the block on Halloween night. Honestly, he didn't seem to care one bit about the big day. I think he was just happy to be warm, and close to mom and dad....check out the pics:

It was dark out, we couldn't tell his costume covered his face!

Monkey man!

Hawaii!!!

So, we were lucky enough to meet 2 great people from Hawaii. My great friend Tom - who now lives in Hawaii - got married 1.5 years ago. The wedding was back in MN, and tons of people traveled up here for their wedding. We offered our house for people to stay, and Tom and his soon to be wife Penny asked if their good friends, Carlos and Erin could stay with us when they arrived. Of course we said yes! We met them when we visited Tom and Penny in February of 2007.
We immediately clicked with Erin and "Los". We stayed in touch after Tom's wedding and before we knew it, we got an invitation to their wedding - in Hawaii! At the time, we just found out Christy was pregnant, and were unsure if we were going to go. It sorta depended on how well we thought we were doing as new parents, how 'well behaved' our new kid would be, and of course, cost.
So, we soon found out that Easton was a very well behaved baby, and traveled well......then, a huge fare sale to Hawaii showed up on my computer one day while Chirsty was on maternity leave - so we booked it!
Easton did very well on his adventure to Hawaii - the only tough part was that E decided he was going to begin teething as soon as we sat down and the plane for the trip back to MN! Here are some pics of the event. There is also a link to a video to the right of Easton at the ocean.

Easton likes to dress up for special events. He passed out soon after the dinner at Los and Erin's wedding:

We visited the Dole Pineapple Plantation on our last day.

Here's some more stuff that we did in October....

A day at the Orchard. Is it me, or is this apple giving Christy 'bedroom' eyes?

Easton may or may not have lost his balance after this picture and taken a face-plant onto the ground.....

needless to say, he wasn't too happy about it!
More weird 'bedroom' eyes.......

Happiest kid ever......

another beautiful fall day at Grandma's

Peek-a-boo!

Still has a sense of humor after 5 months!

....and still not 100% sure about these peas.

Here's some cool stuff that happened in September

So, there were a couple cool things we did in September. We went to Alexandria to visit family, Easton decided it was time for solid food, and we got a whole new member of the family. Here are some pics of these events.

Aunt and Uncle - Sarah and Chad

Rocky (kinda hiding) and Lori

Catherine........

Simone.........

Larry and Bonnie.......

Then, a few days later, Easton got a brand new cousin. His name is Luca (it's yet to be determined if he lives on the second floor.....if you don't get that, don't worry about it)

Here's all the cousins that Easton has.......so far! (Chad, Sarah, that's a hint)

Benet, Reagan, Easton, Sydney and Luca.....

Easton with Great-Grandma Adeline.......

Then, we decided it was time for E to start eating solid food. Yeah, that's been a treat.

Hey, Easton, you got a little something on your face........
Here is a video of E trying rice cereal for the first time.

He's such a bad-ass......

I think sometimes when grandma, who is doing daycare, doesn't have any of her girlfriends coming over, she decides to dress Easton up for her own entertainment.........I guess he sorta looks like daddy on any given summer day.......

Easton is 3 Mos old

Easton is 3 months old, and time has flown. He's sitting up in his "bumbo" seat......below is a video of what he really thinks about his "bumbo" seat:

We took Easton to his first Twins game with both grandmas, and grandpa Ken. He had a blast, and of course, we didn't have a lack of baseball gear for the little guy to wear.....he was pretty decked out in Twins gear. Grandma and Grandpa Ken made a "Circle Me Bert" sign to try and get Easton on TV. It didn't work - asking Dan to hold the sign up also didn't work....Here are some pics:

Last weekend we went to our neighbor's BJ and Whitney's cabin. Below, you will see who had to hold down the fort and keep the kids safe when the ladies decided to open up the wine. Believe it or not, the matching outfits were not planned......

2 months have flown by.....

So, we've been so busy with the little monkey that we realized our last entry was when Easton was 3 weeks old! So, now he's about 2.5 months old, and is changing so quickly! Mom and dad got a new boat at the end of June - which may have contributed to the lack of postings and updates.......but Easton loves the boat so much, that we are almost forced to go out on it.......anything for the little man!! At least that's what mommy and daddy tell themselves!

E's 2 month appointment at the Dr. went well. I decided not to attend, as I have heard horror stories about the shots. Turned out, E was a champ. He weighed in at 11 lbs 13 oz. Almost doubling his birth weight. His next Dr. appt is on Sept 12th - the same day that his new cousin is supposed to arrive! We're all pretty excited to for that!
I think Grandma and Grandpa are really excited for Christmas this year.......3 infants under 1 year old, and two 6 year olds...........I'm already exhausted just thinking about it!

Easton got a chance to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa a few weeks ago. Here are some pics of the little man.

Sorta small, but it's E on the boat in his favorite spot.

3 weeks old.....

Well, Easton is just about 3 weeks old now. Mommy and he have been busy at home - Easton learning how to be a human, and Christy learning how to be a mom. Dad still doesn't have a clue.

There have been a couple of "firsts" like, first trip in the car, first Target shopping experience, first bath, first walk, and first time on his 'play mat'.

There have also been a lot of 'not firsts'.......like, not the first time pooping and/or peeing on mom and dad. He's pretty much got that down.

Take a look at a couple pics of some of his 'firsts' and a couple other pics, just for the heck of it.....and even a video.

First ride in the carseat on the way home from the hospital

First walk with mom and dad around the block

First bath......confused, and pissed.

First time playing on the 'play mat' and totally flicking off mom.
